Shchi

I was invited to work on the Shchi project with Studio Dust alongside Matthew Glover. When we arrived the project didn't even have a name, just hundreds of photographs from Casey Orr, Clive Eggington and Callum Toy following a week in the lives of a Russian community now living in Armley, Leeds. Our task was to edit and arrange all this down into a publication accompanying a superb, more abstract middle section from Chris Goodwin that told the story in an entertaining, honest and pointed manner.
Shchi is a Russian cabbage soup.
